Philanthropy
Giving back to the communities and the people who have supported us over the years is one of our top priorities – it’s part of our company culture.
Together with our employees, we are proud to support organizations that work to build affordable, efficient and healthy housing, to funding research to cure devastating diseases and improve health care for everyone, and to providing disaster relief to less privileged countries around the world.
North Prairie's contribution goes towards 2 keeler slit lamps, and 1 keeler portable slit lamp. These important pieces of medical equipment will serve the Ophthalmology Department at The Saskatoon City Hosptial.
North Prairie's contribution goes towards a new, state-of-the-art surgical robotic system deployed at St.Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. The New DA Vinci surgical system will allow surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures for urology, head and neck cancer thoracic surgery and gynecological oncology.
Impressed with the master plan for the park, the Williams are eager for upgrades to be completed. The family hopes their company's donation to the capital project will help people in our community increase their fitness and health, and build stronger, more competitive athletes. .
The Oxford House Saskatchewan (OHS) is a charitable organization which provides housing and support for individuals who have recently completed an addictions treatment program, are homeless, or at-risk of homelessness. OHS has proven to be a critical service provider as they help those who express a strong desire to continue their recovery in a drug-free environment.
In Memory of Brett Williams, North Prairie Developments has donated $50,000.00. This contribution goes towards The Oxford House Saskatchewan purchasing a home in Saskatoon. Brett’s Home will be opening in Saskatoon in the fall of 2020.
The City of Martensville, through a public private partnership with Canwest Commercial and Land Corp. and North Prairie Developments Ltd., is pleased to announce the City’s future multipurpose recreation facility will be the anchor attraction at Trilogy Ranch, a new major 680-acre residential and commercial development located just west of Highway 12 and bordering the City’s current west boundary.
Canwest and North Prairie Developments will contribute the land for the facility to the City of Martensville, which is valued at $3 million.
“The Nutrien Children’s Discovery Museum is an integral part of the community as it provides children with a place of imagination, inspiration, creativity and most importantly – fun!”
North Prairie is proud to support the Create Space Workshop, one of 11 permanent exhibits in the museum. Create Space is designed for collaboration as well for individual and facilitated learning for creators and makers. The Workshop is filled with advanced tools and operations including drilling, soldering and sanding. It will even feature a 3D printer!
North Prairie is proud to be a part of this vision of fostering curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning in the children of Saskatchewan.
The ground breaking of the U of S Merlis Belsher Place state-of-the-art twin-pad ice facility is now underway.
The Merlis Belsher Place is the result of many people coming together in partnership - volunteers, community members, local businesses, athletes, alumni, staff and students - to accomplish something truly extraordinary.
North Prairie is proud to be a major contributor to this project with a donation of $250,000. We look forward to supporting our local athletes by taking in many future games at this incredible facility.
North Prairie Developments is committed to making the province a vibrant and nurturing place to live. The donation of $100,000 to Remai Modern will be acknowledged by the reception desk in the museum’s light-filled atrium being named in North Prairie’s honour.
This is a fitting connection as the museum’s architect, Bruce Kuwabara, has described the atrium as “the living room of the city”.
Wanuskewin Heritage Park’s renewal project is a bold plan to help Wanuskewin reach its full potential to take its place among Canada’s premiere cultural destinations. Among other extraordinary features such as an extended trail; a renovated and expanded interpretive centre; and research and education labs; there is also an ancestral Plains bison herd at the Park, right in its natural habitat.
North Prairie believes there’s a gift through giving and is proud to contribute $100,000–our symbol of the commitment we have to transforming and strengthening our communities.
