Another month, another season!
There is a new freshness in the air now that fall is here.
Just like a car, your North Prairie home needs regular care, seasonal maintenance, and occasional tune-ups, to stay in great working condition. With changing seasons we know how important it is to keep up with the seasonal maintenance. Staying on top of home maintenance is the best way to prevent issues that lead to costly repair work in the future.
We’ve put a link to our fall checklist at the end of this post, but here are some suggestions on how to prep your new home for fall.
Sprinkler Blow Out
Blow out your sprinklers! This is the MOST important step, forgetting to do so could lead to major irrigation issues which is not covered under warranty. We recommend you contact your landscaper or company who provides this service.
Settlement Inspection
Check for settlement around your foundation and fill any low spots, make sure your grade is sloped away from your home. The last thing we want is water coming in!
Clean, Clean, Clean!
You want to make sure that you have cleared your eavestroughs, downspouts and roof from any leaves or debris.
Check and clean bathroom exhaust fans, the HRV filter and range hoods.
Bottom line
It is essential to carry out regular seasonal maintenance checks on your North Prairie home to ensure all your equipment is working correctly and there are no issues that may cost you time and money if left unchecked.
We all lead very busy lives, and it’s hard to remember everything—so why not set a reminder on your phone or mark your calendar to carry out these checks on the first day of each new season? Click here to see what maintenance you should be doing to get your home ready for the fall.
