The Sales Process

Buying a North Prairie built home is simple and easy. Let us help you through the process:

1.     First it is important to do some research on locations and get to know your area. Click here to get started!

2.     Now that you have found an area you like, let’s look at some homes! You have several options:

  • View our homes on-line
  • Visit a Show Home
  • Something more private?

3.     You have found the home you love….Now what?

A North Prairie Sales Representative will be happy to assist you in writing a purchase agreement.

Have some questions?  Don’t worry, you are not alone, here are some common questions on agreements:


Deposits:  a deposit is required at time of purchase agreement.  No other deposits are required throughout the build process.

Possession Date:  Possession dates are set at time of purchase agreement. Depending on the stage of construction, possession dates may fluctuate.  Be sure to ask your North Prairie Sales Representative how the process works.

Lawyer Information:  You can let your sales representative know who your lawyer is any special information they are requesting

Mortgage Broker:  It is a good idea that you speak to a mortgage broker ahead of time to determine level of financing that you qualify for.

Condition / Removal:  A date is set for removal of any conditions that form part of the purchase agreement.




4.   Now that your purchase agreement is accepted, the FUN begins:

  • Interior – Set up an appointment with our friendly vendors to select your interior colors 
  • Upgrades – There are many options to choose from, your North Prairie Sales Representative would be happy to explain them to you.  
  • After the selections have been completed, sit back and let us do the hard work of constructing your home.

5.   Possession and Turnover:

  • A North Prairie Representative will contact you 1 month prior to your final possession date to set up a walkthrough.
  • On your possession date, you will be met by one of our friendly staff, to sign all the necessary paperwork, and ensure your satisfaction is met.
